Summer Trend: Comfortable Tapered Pants At All Prices

This summer so far I have done a whole lot of nothing. However, I have been online "window" shopping more than an average person should be. I have found a large assortment of these comfortable trousers. Topshop interestingly enough has termed the word "Joggers" for them; I'm guessing this comes from the elastic waistband and the tapered leg. At my first look I thought they were a bit too similar to the "drop-crotch trousers" which has been in and out of trend recently that I never enjoyed. But I've grown to love them and think they are a great way to wear a trouser with more comfort for the summer. Anyhow, they're on many websites at many different price points so I thought I would share a few:
Topshop Crepe Cuff Joggers in Jade $60
Mikkat Market Elastic Waistband Baggy Pants $33
Outsider Pants in Ivory on Need Supply Co. $68
Zara Jacquard Loom Trousers $59.90
J Crew Curator Mid-Rise Crepe Pant $168
3.1 Phillip Lim Silk-Crepe Pants available on Net-A-Porter for $375

What to Wear to Coachella

In two days one of the most exciting music festivals in America will start its first weekend. COACHELLA! Fall RTW '13 Trend - Oversized Outerwear

Have you ever tried on a coat that was a size too big? Well imagine trying 3 sizes bigger; you are basically swimming in massive amounts of extra fabric. What you just imagined is exactly what some of the designers this fashion month debuted for this coming fall. I noticed many mannish coats with oversized lapels and ignorance towards the woman figure. Although this could come across as negative on paper, on the runway it grew on me. I loved how on some of them it exaggerated the shoulders or in Valli's and Celine's case the large coat was rounded out around the shoulders and the bodice. Here are some of my favorite oversized, mannish coats that were seen around the world during the fashion weeks:

Rihanna Inspired November Outfit

Where I live its not too cold and not too hot. So this always leaves me with the same question when I step inside my closet to get dressed; what the hell do I wear? Whether its going out to dinner or going out for a couple drinks I want to be appropriately dressed for the weather.  I put this outfit together based on one of my favorite fashion idols, the one and only Rihanna. I love her sexy, edgy look and I think it's a perfect for a fall look. Bustier tops have been in for a while but adding a good pair of leather trousers makes the outfit all the more trendy. A covered heel with a peep toe add to the edgy style and give into the weather. When it comes to accessories add some fun colors; you can never go wrong with a playful lip and nail color.

With fall clothing moving into the stores it's hard to remember its still summer. In Florida it's reaching almost 100 degrees everyday, so I'm still looking for shorts and tees. This outfit is trying to incorporate the different trends arising. From the gilded age to the crazy prints this outfit is nothing short of perfect for me. I love the colorful, sequined shorts and crazy, spiked bracelets matched with a classy blouse and purse!

Last Days Abroad in London

This past week has gone so fast and I cannot believe I'm leaving tomorrow! Although I'm so sad to leave, the time I've spent here has been unforgettable. Last weekend I went to the Swedish House Mafia concert in Milton Keyes, England and it was crazy fun. With 60,000 people there and some of my favorite DJs I had the time of my life at their last UK concert. This week I also really got to explore Hyde Park and feel in love with the atmosphere of the peaceful park. We went there three time this week and it probably is my favorite place in London. Besides being busy exploring the city I have been nonstop shopping, which will be what I miss most about London. The shopping here is never ending and you never get old of it. I practically spent my life savings in Topshop but I have gotten some really cute things.

So here are some pictures from this week, I will add more when I am back in the states. But be sure to look at my new purchases worn in the pictures:

Digitally Attractive

This spring 2012 we have seen many colorful trends from flowers to the 50's, but one of my favorite trends that has jumped out from the rest is the digital prints. I love the way some of the designers transformed dresses, blouses, and bottoms to futuristic and exciting designs.
Here are some digital prints from the runway:
Peter Pilotto Sprint 12'

Akris Spring 12

Here are some affordable digital prints that I love:

Topshop - $60
Style by Marina printed mini dress - $89
Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent - $157.50

The Heel Sandal

1. Laminated ZARA Heel Sandals - 159: I absolutely love these and are now on my must have list. They could be worn in so many ways; casual with boyfriend jeans and a loose shirt or dress them up with leather leggings and colorful flowy shirt.
2. Urban Outfitters Deena & Ozzy Studded Wood Sandal - 69: Stud's have been my number one accent for a while for accessories, so they really make these shoes perfection.
3.Giuseppe Zanotti Multicolored Patent Leather Sandal - 695: These are just awesome and would be a eye-catching item to add to your closet. They would definitely be cute with your little black dress
4. Topshop REFLECT Metallic Heel Sandals - 120: LOVE. Topshop has a huge selection of heel sandals but these immediately caught my eye. I would love to put on electric blue skinny jeans and a loose fitted top with these shoes. They have a very strong resemblance to a pair of Celine shoes (look it up and you'll 100% agree with me) so that is probably what drew my eyes so quickly to them.

BRIGHT White Bottoms for Spring

This time of year I'm always excited about wearing white. This year its all about wearing the right bottoms in a bright way. I found super nice bottoms online from different stores that are easy to find and easy to wear. The best thing about wearing white bottoms is you could really wear it with any top and accessories and still look great (just don't wear a white top, unless you're going for the Mr. Clean look).

From Anthopologie; Earnest Sewn Hefner Bootcut jeans - $188

Topshop; Linen Tapered Trousers - $64

Uniqlo Women Roll Up Chino Shorts - $29.90
Urban Outfitters BDG Boyfriend shorts - $54

Because since it is the first week of spring, I wanted to take a quick look at spring trends to look for when you update your wardrobe for the new season. More specifically, I wanted to move away from designer prices and move towards prices you can afford!
