Narciso Rodriguez Resort 2013

Narciso Rodriguez kept his resort  2013 collection minimal and simple. Two words I love when getting dressed. There were two basic silhouettes for this collection; lean trousers, t-shirt, and blazer or a below the knee, thin strapped dress. His color scheme consisted of magenta, white, deep red, black, and khaki (with a touch of snakeskin) allowing the collection to be one to be kept in the closet year round.

Louis Vuitton Resort 2013

Designed by Julie de Libran, Louis Vuitton showed yet another great collection. The inspiration came from a small little French colony known as Indochine where the ladies dressed well despite the hot weather. With flared pants to jacquard shirts there was yet another bit of 70's hiding within this collection. My favorite part about this collection would have to be the sequined tunics, dresses, and collar.

Stella McCartney Resort 2013

Stella McCartney says doing her resort collection is one of her favorite seasons because of openness the collection can bring. From vibrant pinks to vintage upholstery fabrics she really had fun with this collection. I definitely see a 70's flare to this collection (whether or not it was intended) as with a lot of other resort collections.  The full leopard and floral suits may not be made for your basic wears but they definitely would add a fun element to your closet to say the least.

Gucci Resort 2013

Gucci Resort 2013, designed by Frida Giannini, showed to be a fantastically made combination of wearable clothes and unique designs. You can see the 70's inspiration with the bell-bottom pants, flowy sleeves, and deep v-necks. Giannini, having a strong presence of Florentine background, showed her talent making fantastic prints of floral designs without being too over the top; making this whole collection completely realistic and wearable.
Here are some of my favorite picks from the collection:
