Valentino Spring RTW 2013

If you visit my blog often, you've probably realized Valentino is one of my favorite designers to follow. Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli sprung their inspiration from none other than Rome. Valentino has become known for their elegant A-line silhouettes and they did it again for Spring. With a color palette of reds, blacks, whites, and pops of snake skin and crystal embroideries this collection was nothing short of perfection. I love the jackets and short trenches they threw into the collection to add an updated look. Not to mention the last two looks are absolutely breathtaking and I can't wait to see who will wear these on the red carpets. It's sad to see Paris Fashion Week come to a close tomorrow but it's fair to say that they had their share of stunning clothes this week.

Met Costume Gala 2012

This year the Met Gala, hosted by Anna Wintour, was quite a success with guests such as Gwyneth, Kanye, and even Tim Tebow (who showed up in a fantastic Ralph Lauren purple label tuxedo). Everyone came in dazzling gowns with fantastic color and drape. A lot of the best dressed had gowns with particular embroideries and accessories that really made the dress look eye-popping. Most of the dresses I favored happened to have gold in it, whether it being the dominant color or it just being used as accents, it really made the dress timeless.
Here are some of my favorites from the night:
My favorite! Met Gala chairwomen, Carey Mulligan, in a Prada halter style dress with silver and gold sequins and Neil Lane jewels
2nd best for sure! Camille Belle in Ralph Lauren... a fantastically beaded dress giving it a twenties inspired look
Lana Del Rey came in a custom embroidered Joseph Altuzarra gown and cape.
Scarlett Johanson in a Dolce & Gabbana dress
Renee Zellweger in an Emilio Pucci dress
Nina Dobrev from Vampire Diaries wore a Donna Karan Atelier gown with fantastic chiffon fabric used to make a perfect drape.
January Jones from Mad Men wore Versace with a gorgeous Cartier necklace
Lily Collins from Mirror Mirror wearing a Valentino gown
Cameron Diaz in a champagne embroidered silk Stella McCartney gown
Diane Kruger in a crepe silk Prada gown with an Ostrich feather trim... I'm strangely in love with this dress
And the hottest couple award goes to...
Tom Brady in Tom Ford and Gisele Bundchen in Givenchy
