Burberry Prorsum Autumn/Fall '13
Better late than never, here is quick rundown of the Burberry Prorsum show. I can't even tell you how excited I get the day the Burberry show is premiering. As soon as my class got out I ran home to watch the show as close to the live time as possible.
The show took place in the usual place, where the sun unexpectedly shined through the big glass windows. Christopher Bailey referred to the shows inspiration as, "Trench Kisses: A Collection of Classics and Christine Keeler." Christine Keeler was a showgirl and model in the early 60's. Throughout the collection you could spot slight touches of the 60's with knee length skirts and dresses with tiny kitten wedge heels. The classic trench coats came in wild prints of zebra, leopard, and giraffe. Although the heart printed fabric was a little out there, Bailey made it work with a tight oxblood leather skirt or mixing it with a leopard clutch. My favorites were the snake skinned jackets and the coats with shiny grommets loosely hanging.
It is safe to say that Christopher Bailey isn't afraid of anything being the creative director of the very traditional brand Burberry. But as always with a A-list crowd and a surprising live performance it was wonderful show to watch.

Dior and Printemps Partner Up for the Holiday Season
Earlier in the semester I read an article on Dior teaming up with Printemps for the holiday season. Along with window displays, Dior was making limited edition watches and gifts to be sold at Printemps in France. So when reading through WGSN and getting to see all the extraordinary window displays I was elated to see they made a promotional video as well that I could share with you all. The 11 window displays are representing Paris's different popular locations to show a "dream-like narrative" for the season. To think I was there 5 months ago still blows my mind!

London Fashion Week 2012 - Burberry Prorsum 13
I can always count on Burberry to bring the best show of the month. Not only was it the best show but the collection that Christopher Bailey brought to the brand was magnificent. As he said, "I wanted it playful, sassy and joyous with colors so intense you wring them out."
With bright pink, purple, emerald, raspberry, midnight blue, and many more colors of the rainbow, Bailey recreated the original trench coat in ways we would have never thought... and I like it!
Celebrity spottings: Harry Styles from One Direction, Anna Wintour, Mario Testino, Victoria Pendleton, Alice Eve, Allyson Felix, Allison Mosshart, Dev Patel, Florence Brudenell-Bruce, Tali Lennox, Laura Bailey, Olivia Palermo, Jeremy Irvine, Suki Waterhouse, Andy Murray with Kim Sears, Dita Von Teese, Gabriella Wilde (face of Burberry's current campaign)

New York Fashion Week 2012 - Zac Posen RTW 13
I love this collection, however, one may question that it is too formal for a RTW collection. There are multiple evening wear dresses that really are one of a kind and gorgeous. Zac uses a lot of rose patterns and the finale dress was worn by Coca Rocha which really finalized the elegance of the collection. Here is a shorter version of the show:

Oscar de la Renta Resort Collection 2013
"Simply clothes" was the response given to Vogue reporter, Mark Holgate, when asked what he was thinking when designing this collection. And to agree, the clothes stayed simplistic in a beautifully, articulated kind of way. Those clothes are fit for a working, trendy, feminine kind of girl because of the floral prints and clear color palette de la Renta used. This very chic collection is one of great use by being very wearable, so in all you could say Oscar de la Renta did his job of executing his "simply clothes" train of thought.

Bottega Veneta Resort Collection 2013
Resort collections are so fun to look at because I believe its the collection creative directors have the most ability to show their style more instead of just the brands style. Tomas Maier really did a fabulous job with this collection showing the luxurious side of the brand with a simplistic look. As he said, "Resort has to fulfill all functions." And that is exactly what he did by using a variety of fabrics and beautifully created colors.

Chanel Spring/Summer 2012 show
Karl Lagerfeld really showed off his genius with this collection. I was just going through all the spring/summer 2012 collections and this one just blew me away and I had to share it with you all!
It's clear that his inspiration was water, coral, and seahorses.
The performance was by Florance and The Machine - What The Water Gave Me

Louis Vuitton Autumn/Winter 2012 show
One of my favorite shows to look forward to during Paris Fashion Weeks. Marc Jacobs really knows how to tell a story through his collection.

Emilio Pucci Autumn/Winter 2012 show
One of my favorite shows to watch during Milan Fashion Week's is Emilio Pucci's; I can always count on Peter Dundas to make a solid collection, with elegant pieces.
Colors: Black, eggplant, ice blue, blush, military green, gold, white
My favorite part of this show is when the dresses start coming out at the end. All of them are absolutely stunning and red carpet worthy!

Rachel Zoe Fall 2012 Read-to-Wear collection
This collection is definitely, in my eyes, going to be one of the biggest sellers for buyers. With its menswear-inspired tailored cuts and modern shapes, Rachel sure did know what she was doing with her pieces. According to WGSN she went with the "tailored gypset" theme with a lot of confident business outfits and even some rock-n-roll inspired fits. Interestingly enough you see more emerald green pieces, along with reds, eggplant, and neutrals.

Rebecca Minkoff Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear collection
I really loved this collection because of how she felt comfortable branching out into some wild colors such as emerald greens, mustard, and the pantone color of the year - tangerine. This year she went with the theme "biker girl" as you can see through her metallic finishes, geometric cutouts, and biker zip accents.

Valentino's Spring/Summer 2012 Couture
Due to some technical difficulties this is a bit late but of course I had to post this show. Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli skipped the sexy red carpet cuts and went towards a more innocent flower print theme. I love the ruffled collars and the embellished blazers.

Chanel's Spring/Summer 2012 Couture
This is my favorite set up by far! Karl Lagerfeld always knows how to put on a show to really go with his theme of his clothes. From navy blues, to sky blues his show was consistently perfect. As he says in the end, he focuses on low pockets on the skirts. Although some say this is not proportional I think it is genius.

January 3, 2012

This is a behind the scenes of Elle Fanning's photoshoot for Teen Vogue's February 2012 cover. I love this because it shows her quirky personality which makes her so great. So take a look and if you haven't already go to my blog post about her to see her spread in the magazine!

January 2, 2012

This was from October's fashion week, but I thought it was absolutely magnificent. Almost creepy but it a good way? Remember Marc Jacobs has been the creative director since 1997. It models there Spring/Summer campaigns as well which take on a adolescent theme. Now make sure you look at the shoes, I want them all (which is impossible with my current income... but a girl can dream)! Notice Kate Moss is the last model to finish.

October 19, 2011

For Vanessa Bruno's Fall/Winter Campaign, Kate Bosworth was the star! I am a huge fan of Kate Bosworth so this was so exciting for me. But as you might expect it is quite bizarre, but the scenery and of course the clothes are AMAZING...

To watch the whole thing go on www.cocoperez.com

So I decided to start a video page so I can post as many videos as I please!

To start off I wanted to share one of my favorite spring collections for 2012 shown this past week. Elie Tahari made an absolutely beautiful collection starting with whites, moving to blues and oranges, and then leaving with blacks. What I really liked were the gold accents on all the the outfits. The stunning trench coats were tailored perfectly making them look so feminine and elegant. My favorite outfit would have to the dark champagne colored dress that comes out right before the blacks. Take a look yourselves my loves!
